2-Ethylhexylamine (2-EHA), a primary C8 monoalkylamine with a branched carbon backbone, is a versatile intermediate with a variety of applications. The raw material for 2-EHA is 2-Ethylhexanol, an oxo alcohol based on Propene (steamcracker C3 value chain). 2-EHA is used to produce fuel markers and fuel additives, tencides and detergents, coatings and paints additives and life science chemicals (pharmaceuticals and crop protection chemicals).
